About Carter

Carter oversees all investment activities for CT. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and closing all investment opportunities across all CT verticals and actively interfacing with institutional equity partners and lenders. He is also a member of CT’s executive and investment committees. 

Prior to joining CT, Carter served in various development, financing, and leasing roles for several prominent national and regional development organizations, including The Koll Company, Nexus Development, Brighton Homes and Arnel & Affiliates. Carter also founded Ewing Development Company in 1986, his personal real estate investment vehicle, and has served as managing partner of several entrepreneurial Southern California investment ventures, including Howser Ewing Companies and its predecessor, Peninsula Retail Development. As the former managing regional partner in charge of Koll’s Denver, Colorado office from 1996-2001, Carter was also responsible for 3 million square feet of institutional developments in the Rocky Mountain region on behalf of several investors, including Prudential, UBS, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Apollo, Regency, and Northstar.  

Carter attended the University of Southern California where he earned a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the School of Business Administration. He serves on the board of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Inland Empire Chapter and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Society for Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).

Get to Know Carter

Carter finds his greatest joy with his family. Whether on the water in Mexico or on the slopes in Montana, he and his wife Sarah are always on the go. Travel, Trojan Football, boating, golf, and waterfowl hunting are some of his favorite pastimes.
